Profile
Accuer was launched in April 2004 as a result of a
marketing makeover to a six year old company called Mechanical
Advantage. Mechanical Advantage was founded in January 1998
for the purpose of providing consulting and training on PTC’s
mechanical design software. Over the years our services expanded
to include consulting on, and implementation of, other engineering
and design tools.
Mission
Accuer’s mission is to make product development companies
more profitable by increasing the effectiveness of their engineering
department. We do so by ensuring they have the proper tools,
infrastructure, training and processes for their specific
initiatives.

Management Team
David W. Paulson
President
The path to founding Accuer started in 1996 after
David had been working as a mechanical engineer for
five years. It was then that he realized he spent
more time working on improving the processes and
tools within the department than he did on his engineering
projects--and he enjoyed it more too. His next step
was to become a certified consultant for PTC's MCAD
products so he could start improving tools and processes
for customers. In 1998 he moved to Colorado and formed
Mechanical Advantage (which later became Accuer) with
a partner. Because of Accuer's unique position in the
industry, David is exposed to a wide variety of problems
faced by manufacturers as well as the latest solutions.
In sharing this insight and perspective he has become an
award winning presenter and writer. His presentations
have been at local and/or national meetings of associations
such as PTC/USER, PDMA and APICS. His articles have been
published by numerous sources as well. David has a BSME
and M.S. in Management Science.

Paul P. DeLong
VP Services
Prior to co-founding Accuer, Paul worked for
nine years in a variety of industries as a mechanical
engineer. Paul was senior applications engineer
for PTC, where he developed custom applications
of Pro/ENGINEER and related products for such
industries as aerospace, medical, consumer product,
computer, computer peripherals, and others. Paul
has also participated in the implementation and
development of Pro/ENGINEER and related products
for more than 75 Colorado companies. He is a member
of the PTC Certified Instructor Program and has
been certified to teach at least 20 classes--the most
by any external instructor. His expertise in advanced
part, surface modeling and top-down design techniques
is a tremendous asset to the Accuer team. Paul
holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue.

Eric Graves
VP Technology
Eric began his career as an engineer at Caterpillar.
From there he became a member of PTC's select group
of engineers designated to support their most important
customers such as John Deere and Hughes. His next
assignment was to manage the implementation of
200+ seats of Pro/E at Lockheed Martin. This experience
revealed a talent in figuring out how to set up and
automate engineering software so it is as efficient
and effective as possible. This ability has led him to
projects involving process analysis, productivity audits and
PLM software selection and implementation in a variety of
industries at companies such as Viking Range, Spectranetics and NASA.
He has consulting level expertise with three major PLM products
and has developed custom solutions and processes that have
cut weeks from the development cycle for many customers.
Eric holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S.
in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue.

Vanessa Salazar
Office Manager
Vanessa joined Accuer in October of 2005.
She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in office management
and accounting. Before joining Accuer, Vanessa held the
position of Staff Accountant for a company in
Louisville, CO for several years.
